Meet your physician

Michael Napolitano,
D.O.

Osteopathic physician, trained in psychiatry at East Tennessee State University. Certified in ketamine-assisted psychotherapy through Polaris Insight, and trained in Reiki and energy healing. A physician who is comfortable in three worlds (mind, body, and spirit) and a little stubborn about practicing in all of them at once.

Philosophy of care

Most doctors choose a lane.
Dr. Napolitano kept all three open.

Western medicine is good at acute problems and bad at long quiet ones. Functional medicine is good at root cause and slow at acute care. Energy work is hard to talk about with a stethoscope around your neck. Most physicians pick one and stay there.

The opening line in every new-patient visit is the same: "Tell me what's going on, and what would have to change for you to feel like yourself again." The plan that follows is whatever combination it needs to be, labs, prescriptions, hormones, supplements, ketamine, Reiki, or simply rest. The work is to listen first, and to refuse the false choice between modern medicine and ancient practice.

We treat people, not problems. We use what works.

Napolitano Health & Wellness

Founder and medical director. Also medical director for BrightStar Care and attending physician at Mary Health of the Sick skilled nursing facility.

How he practices

Three modalities,
one physician.

The combination is the point. A single physician with all three trainings can choose the right tool for the moment without sending you to three different offices.

Western · Conventional

Western medicine, when it's the right tool.

Acute care, labs, prescriptions, and referrals, with a psychiatry-trained eye for the mental health conditions that often travel with physical ones. Western medicine is used when appropriate, not by default.

Functional · Integrative

Root-cause medicine, evidence-led.

Whole-food nutrition education, targeted supplementation, hormone and gut work, GLP-1 weight loss, and peptide therapy. Targeted labs, longer conversations, and a plan that's actually yours.

Energetic · Subtle

Ketamine journeys, energy healing, Reiki.

Physician-guided ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (certified through Polaris Insight) alongside energy healing and Reiki. For the work that doesn't always respond to medication alone, held in a physician's office, by a physician.

Outside the clinic

A few things
worth knowing.

Patients sometimes feel better when they know their doctor is a person too. Here are a few things Dr. Napolitano cares about.

Grew up here

Raised in Westlake Village, and came home to practice. Knows the trails, the coffee, and the freeway shortcuts.

Walks the walk

Meditates, lifts, sleeps eight hours, and eats things that grew in the ground. Usually.

Always reading

Currently between a longevity textbook and a book about silence. Has opinions on both.
