PEMF therapy,
without the hype.

Thirty minutes, fully clothed, on an OlyLife Tera-P90. Pulsed electromagnetic field therapy is non-invasive and drug-free. Here is what a session actually feels like, and what we will and will not claim it does.

Non-invasive, no medication 30-minute in-office sessions Screened for contraindications
What it is

PEMF applies low-frequency electromagnetic pulses to the body.

You sit or lie down, fully clothed, with the energy plate positioned against you. The device produces low-frequency electromagnetic output together with gentle warming. There is no needle, no medication, and no ionizing radiation.

Sessions run 30 minutes. Most people describe it as relaxing and uneventful. The most common sensation patients report is a mild warmth in the ankles, which is expected and settles on its own.

What the evidence says

What this is,
and what it is not.

We would rather tell you where the science actually sits than sell you certainty that does not exist.

Where PEMF has medical clearance

Prescription bone-healing devices

Certain prescription PEMF devices are FDA-cleared as bone growth stimulators for nonunion fractures and as an adjunct to spinal fusion. Those are different machines, prescribed for those specific conditions. They are not what we use here, and we are not claiming their clearances.

What we actually use

OlyLife Tera-P90, a wellness device

The office uses an OlyLife Tera-P90, which pairs low-frequency electromagnetic output with gentle warming. It is a general wellness device. It is not FDA-cleared to diagnose, treat, or cure any condition, and we do not offer it as treatment for one.

You will find claims online that devices like this burn fat, clear inflammation, or move energy through meridians. We are not going to repeat them. What we can tell you is what a session feels like, what it does not do, and whether it is worth your time.
What to expect

A session,
start to finish.

Every session is 30 minutes. How often you come back depends on what you are working on, and we will be honest about that.

Screening

We review your history first, including implanted devices, pregnancy, and anything that would make PEMF a poor fit.

Positioning

A full-body mat, or a smaller applicator placed over a specific area. You stay clothed and comfortable.

The session

Thirty minutes. You rest, fully clothed. Most people feel a mild warmth in the ankles and nothing else.

Afterward

No downtime and no sedation. You drive yourself home and carry on with your day.

Fit

Who it suits,
and who it does not.

Screening is not a formality here. Some of these are absolute.

A reasonable fit

Worth a conversation

Patients already under care here who want a non-drug option to trial alongside their plan, people working through musculoskeletal discomfort or a slow recovery, and anyone curious who wants a straight answer about what it can and cannot do.

Not a fit

We will not treat you if

You have an implanted electronic device such as a pacemaker, defibrillator, neurostimulator, or insulin pump. PEMF is also avoided during pregnancy and with active bleeding. Active malignancy and seizure disorders are reviewed case by case.

FAQ

Common questions.

What does a PEMF session feel like?

It does not hurt. Sessions are 30 minutes and most people find them relaxing and uneventful. The sensation patients mention most often is a mild warmth in the ankles. That is expected from this device and settles on its own. There is no needle and no medication.

Is the device you use FDA-approved?

No, and we want to be plain about that. The office uses an OlyLife Tera-P90, a general wellness device. It is not FDA-cleared to diagnose, treat, or cure any condition. Some prescription PEMF devices do hold FDA clearances for bone healing, but those are different machines and we are not borrowing their credentials.

Who should not have PEMF?

Anyone with an implanted electronic device, including a pacemaker, defibrillator, neurostimulator, or insulin pump. It is also avoided during pregnancy and with active bleeding. Active malignancy and seizure disorders are reviewed individually. We screen for all of this before a first session.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on how you respond. We start with a short trial and reassess honestly rather than selling a package up front. If you are not noticing anything, we will tell you to stop.

Is PEMF covered by insurance?

No. Wellness PEMF is not a covered benefit and is offered as cash pay. Call the office for current pricing before you book.

Not sure it is for you?

Ask before you book.

Call the office and describe what you are dealing with. We will tell you whether PEMF is worth trying, or point you at something that fits better.
